Google Adsense: How the F#$& do I get daily email reports?

Maybe I missed orientation day or whatever training there was for the more advanced Adsense tips and tricks, but I was getting tired of going to my Adsense profile every day just to look at some dismally small numbers of ads served, virtually zero ad clicks, and a big goose egg for daily ad revenue.

So here is how to setup daily (or any other frequency) email performance reports on the newer Adsense accounts. If you have URL channels setup correctly, this is much easier as you can group by those to see how each website is performing. Let me know in the comments if a short tutorial on setting up URL channels would be helpful.

After setting up your URL channels for each website, just follow these easy steps:

  1. Click on "Performance Reports" at the top of the page
  2. Click "URL Channels" on the left menu bar
  3. Check the boxes of each URL you want to include in the report
  4. Click the "Save Report" button above the graph
  5. Give it a name like "Daily Channel Report" and check the "Run this report automatically" checkbox
  6. Select it to run "Daily" and for "Yesterday"
  7. Add any additional emails that would like to receive the report and click "Save"

Done and done. Now you will get an email about an hour after midnight each day with your Google Adsense account performance report. There are many other options for how you can group your data.

For example, you could have:

  • A rolling 30 day report sent to you daily
  • A weekly report sent to you every Monday (weekly reports are only generated on Mondays)
  • A monthly report of your All Time numbers
  • The list goes on!

If you have a favorite method of grouping report numbers, let me know in the comments!
